Sengen Park

新倉山浅間公園

The park begins at the base of Mt. Arakurayama and extends up the mountain. At the top of a 398-stair hike is an observation deck that looks out over the cityscape and majestic Mt. Fuji towering above with Chureito Pagoda. Entry fee is free.

Ropeway

富士山パノラマロープウェイ

Going up to the observatory at an altitude of 1,075 meters by ropeway, you can see a 360-degree panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and Lake  Kawaguchi. The ropeway fee is 900JPY round trip, but you can also enjoy hiking to the observatory.

5th Station

富士スバルライン五合目

Fuji Subaru Line 5th  Station is a sightseeing spot not only for climbers but also for those who just stop by on a drive. It takes about 40 minutes one way to reach the 2300-meter elevation point. Fuji Five Lakes and sometimes the mystical view of the sea of clouds can be seen from the there. Restaurants and souvenir shops are also available. Toll fee is 2100 JPY.

Kawaguchi Asama Shrine was created in 865 A.D. to quell the eruption of Mt.Fuji. It was born from the belief that Mt. Fuji is worshiped from a small hill  far away. The torii in the sky (pictured) was made for worship from afar.

Oshino Hakkai

Oshino Hakkai is a spring made by filtering snowmelt from Mt. Fuji. In the past, people who practiced Buddhism climbed Mt.Fuji, and it was believed that bathing in the water of Oshino Hakkai would allow them to safely climb Mt.Fuji.

Mishima Skywalk

三島スカイウォーク

Mishima Skywalk is the longest suspension bridge in Japan with a total length of 400 meters. From the top, visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Admission is 1100JPY (200JPY for children), and visitors can enjoy the E-bike Trail Tour (3500JPY) and the Adventure Course (3900JPY), which includes a long zip-slide.

Lake Yamanaka

山中湖での釣り

You can enjoy fishing in an air-conditioned, comfortable boat at Lake Yamanaka. All equipment can be rented, so you do not need to bring anything. The fish you catch can be cooked for you at a nearby restaurant. Fishing boat is 5300JPY (3h, excluding restaurant) Leisure boats are also available if you do not fish.

As an amusement park at the foot of Mt. Fuji, it has many of the world’s best attractions, and the theme parks.

“Thomas Land” and “Lisa and Gaspard Town”   are also located within the park. You can also enjoy skating in winter.

Noson Koen Park

Noson Koen Park is known as the nice viewpoint of Mt. Fuji.

The contrast between the farming villages around the park and Mt. Fuji, which spreads its ridgeline evenly on both sides, is super beautiful. 

Fujimi Kotoku Park

富士見幸徳公園

From Fujimi Kotoku Park, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and its seasonal plants and trees. Mt. Fuji covered with snow and Cherry blossom trees in spring, lush green in summer, and the contrast between the red autumn leaves and the snow-capped Mt.Fuji in winter.

Narusawa Ice Cave

The Narusawa Ice Cave was created by the eruption of Mt. Fuji in 864 AD. The total length is 150m and the depth is 21m. The temperature is around 3 degrees Celsius all year round, and you can see it in about 15 minutes

Fujiten Snow resort

ふじてんスノーリゾート

Fujiten is the  ski resort where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding with the majestic Mt.Fuji view. There are seven courses that can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers. The kids Ai Land” dedicated to snow play and sledding is an area recommended for families with children of elementary school age and younger.

Term of operation is Mid-December to Early April.

Nakanokura Mountain Pass

中ノ倉峠

This photo was taken in 1935 by the famous photographer Kouyo Okada and is said to be the original image of Mount Fuji on the back of the 1000 and 5000JPY bills.

You can reach this nice viewpoint with a 30-minute hike.

Sightseeing Boat

河口湖遊覧船

You can experience a 25-minute cruise on Lake Kawaguchi where you can see the majestic view of Mt. Fuji up close. The boat has an image of Japan’s Warring States period, and you can rent costumes for photography. The fee is 1000 JPY (500JPY for children)

Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba is a facility that reproduces the thatched roof village that was once said to be the most beautiful village in Japan. You can dine and experience crafts at 20 thatched roof houses. Iyashi no Sato means healing village in Japanese.

久保田一竹美術館

This is an art museum that permanently exhibits “Itchiku Tsujigahana,” an elaborate dyeing artwork by dyeing artist Itchiku Kubota.Itchiku Kubota’s world is expressed not only in his works, but also in everything from the gardens and buildings to the layout of the furnishings. Listed as “three stars” in the Michelin Guide. In addition to the work exhibition room, there is a museum shop, a cafe, a tearoom, and a dragonfly ball exhibition room.

Yoshinoike Onsen

Yoshinoike Onsen is a classic Japanese hot spring that has been in existence for over 150 years.

The hot spring water from the Fuji is said to be effective in beautifying the skin. Entry fee is 600 yen (300 yen for children)

After enjoying the hot springs, you can dine in a Japanese style room.

A day-trip hot spring facility with 16 types of elaborate baths, including an open-air bath with an outstanding view of Mt. Fuji, a panorama bath, a carbonated spring, and a cave bath. body refreshments, restaurants, etc., so you can relax all day long. . Entry fee is 1500JPY (700JPY for children)

Chobo means nice view, Yu means hot spring. 

Fujiyama Onsen

Fujiyama Onsen offers a variety of hot springs, including highly concentrated carbonated hot springs that promote blood circulation and good health, and Japanese-style open-air baths. Entry fee is 1800 yen (900 yen for children) Of course, meals are also available.

You can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Mt. Fuji from a hot air balloon. Available from late November to early March. The minimum number of passengers per trip is 2 adults, and the maximum is 4 adults. In the case of children, 2 children (elementary school lower grades) will be calculated as about 1 adult. Participation fee is 30,000 JPY (25,000 JPY for children)
